and 1862, published by order of His Excellency the Marquis de
Chasseloup-Laubat, Minister and Secretary of the Navy and the
Colonies, Paris, Imperial Printing House, 1866, 198 pages gilt
edges, contemporary red morocco binding, embossed
with the initials C L (Chasseloup
Laubat) in gold letters beneath a marquis’s crown framed by
gold fillets, spine decorated with raised bands, title in gold lettering. The
flyleaf bears the bookplate featuring the Chasseloup-Laubat family coat of arms.
