LIBRARY OF RANDAN CASTLE.
PANCKOUCKE, C. J. *Jerusalem Delivered*, published in Paris by
the author, half-bound in brown morocco, ribbed spine, title
in gold lettering, 4 volumes, 12mo, each volume bearing
the brown ink stamp ‘from the library of the Château de
Randan’. Slight signs of age.
History: Randan Castle was acquired in 1821 by King Louis-Philippe
and his sister, Princess Adélaïde. This estate was the residence of the
House of Orléans and was inhabited by the descendants of the grandson of the last King of France,
Prince Henri, Count of Paris.
