MAP OF THE SURROUNDINGS OF PARIS, by J. Andrieau
Goujoin, published in Paris in 1850, cloth-bound and preserved in an
original cardboard slipcase, bears the brown ink stamp ‘from
the library of Randan Castle’. Slight signs of wear
over time.
History: Randan Castle was acquired in 1821 by King Louis-Philippe
and his sister, Princess Adélaïde. This estate was the residence of the
House of Orléans and was inhabited by the descendants of the grandson of the last King of France,
Prince Henri, Count of Paris.
