FRENCH SCHOOL, CIRCA 1800.
Portrait of General Aristide de La Ruë (1795–1872) as a child
and one of Monsieur Sollier de la Touche’s children.
Oval miniature, gouache on ivory, preserved under glass
in a gilded metal frame on a brown velvet background.
Bears a handwritten inscription on the reverse identifying the
figures depicted.
Good condition.
Dimensions: H: 7 cm – W: 5.7 cm.
Frame: H: 11 cm – W: 9.8 cm.
