DOLLFUS, Josué (1796–1887).
Portrait of a young man in a black frock coat.
Oval-shaped miniature painted in gouache on ivory,
signed ‘J. Dollfus’ in the lower right-hand corner ‘J. Dollfus’ and dated 1835, preserved
under a domed glass pane in its original frame, bordered
by a gilt bronze foliage frieze on a natural wood background,
topped with a hanging ring.
Good condition, minor damage to the frame.
