Snuffbox, round in shape, made of burl thuja wood, with a
tortoiseshell interior; the lid is adorned with a coat of arms decorated with
polychrome enamels representing the arms of the German Empire
surmounted by a royal crown. Included is a
silver commemorative medal marking the golden wedding anniversary of Emperor
Wilhelm II and his wife, Empress Augusta Victoria,
signed Emil Weigand (1837–1906), preserved in its
in red morocco leather, stamped in gold lettering with the couple’s initials
beneath an imperial crown.
Signs of age, but in good overall condition.
