Description
ROYAL HOUSE OF EGYPT.
A pair of large crystal wine decanters, engraved on one
side with the interlaced monogram E. I. beneath an Egyptian royal crown (Emina Ilhamy, (1858–1931), an Ottoman princess and wife of Khedive Abbas II Hilmi of Egypt), and on the other side a Nile water iris,
resting on a circular base. The rim and foot are
embellished with a gold fillet. Preserved with their original stopper.
French work, probably by Baccarat, Paris,
early 20th century.
Slight wear to the gilding, but in good overall condition.
