DURBAR
CORONATION OF THE EMPEROR OF INDIA.
A set of 8 menus for the lunches and dinners served during the
official visit of King George V of Great Britain (1865
1936) and his wife Queen Mary to India on the occasion of
their coronation ceremonies in Delhi, held from
7 to 16 December 1911. They are dated from 7 December to
13 December 1911, with text printed in English and French
on card stock, edged with a gold border, surmounted by the
interlaced monogram of the sovereign G. R. I. (George Rex Imperator) in
gold letters beneath the English royal crown.
Signs of age, but in good overall condition.
