Bénigne GAGNERAUX (1756–1795).
Roman landscape with figures
(inspired by Civita Castellana).
Black ink wash with white gouache highlights on paper,
circa 1793, preserved under glass in an antique frame
of carved and gilded wood decorated with a stylised frieze.
Small foxing spots, some damage to the frame, but in good overall condition.
