BOUSINGAULT Jean-Louis (1883–1943).
Bar scene.
Brown ink wash on paper, signed lower right by
the artist, preserved under glass in its original
gilded wooden frame. Bears on the reverse a handwritten inscription in the
hand of the painter Andre Dunoyer de Segonzac (1884–1974):
‘Boussingault – Jean-Louis Boussingault, drawing, scene in a
bar, circa 1910’.
Small creases, but in good overall condition.
Dimensions: H: 9.5 cm - W: 16 cm.
Frame: H: 24.5 cm - W: 29 cm.
Provenance: former collection of the artist; bears his stamp in brown ink on the reverse:
