WALLET BELONGING TO GENERAL VICOMTE PIERRE LOUIS D’ARNAULD (1771–1832), FROM THE RESTORATION PERIOD (AFTER 1821)
In red morocco leather, decorated with small ironwork along the edges of friezes of roses and foliage, in gold. The front cover stamped in gold with ‘LE GENERAL VICOMTE D’ARNAUD’. Gusset and flap lining signed in gold with ‘GARNESSON AU PALAIS ROYAL’ in green morocco leather. Interior of the gusset lined with blue silk. Three-point clasp in silver-plated brass; signs of wear, stains; key missing
