MERMOZ Jean 3 letters ‘Jean’ (the last one ‘JMermoz’), 1918–1919, to his ‘dear little mum’ [in Paris]; 5 pages in-12 and 2½ pages in-8, one address. 28 March 1918. He is ‘out and about […] I cycled 80 km today and tomorrow I’ll do at least as much. We’ll be spending the night in Bort tomorrow and we’ll be back in Aurillac on Saturday morning’”… – Quimperlé, 21 July 1918. He has “arrived safely in Brittany, which is very beautiful, by the way. […] I felt a bit down when I left you, little Mummy; well, in eight days’ time we’ll see each other again, although I’m not yet sure if I’ll be coming back […] Goodbye, my dear little Mummy Gabybybybygaga. Lots of love from your monster of a son”… [Mainbressy, 13 April 1919].
