First edition of the first book by the aviator and writer René de Narbonne. He received his Air Force officer’s commission from the Istres School the year after its publication.
Sent by the author to Jean Mermoz ‘in memory of April ’36 and as a very modest tribute to my deep admiration and devotion’.
A great admirer of Mermoz, René de Narbonne was, notably, a member of the Croix-de-Feu movement alongside him.
