IMPORTANT COLLECTION OF PHOTOGRAPHS RELATING TO THE PILOTS JACOB FRANCO AND ALPHONSE ARNAL Comprising: - 2 photographs (11.5 x 16 cm), one showing Alphonse Arnal in front of a hangar with aviators (Blériot School?), the other showing the aviator Lacrouze in Chalon-sur-Saône. - 2 large-format photographs (16.5 x 23 cm): a portrait of Gilbert Landry (1891–1915), inscribed to Alphonse Arnal. Mounted by Couvrat in Poitiers. A gathering of aviators, including Alphonse Arnal and Lacrouze. - A photo album containing 70 photographs, taken in civilian life, the majority in Africa. - A fine collection of 175 photographs and postcards in various formats, mostly from Jacob Franco, depicting his life first as an infantryman and later as an aviator. A few photographs inscribed to Alphonse Arnal - 38 negatives, some of which depict Franco and his comrades from the 121st Squadron around 1918. - 10 photographs, four of which depict an air force parade at Pujaut in July 1940 featuring Jacob Franco. Including views of the assembled troops and aircraft (Bloch 151 and Dewoitine 520). A significant collection of photographs relating to the pilots Jacob Franco and Alphonse Arnal
