UNIFORM of a CHIEF ADJUTANT of the 21st Regiment of ALGERIAN TIRAILLEURS, comprising: - ‘Aiglon’ style jacket (1939–1938) in khaki cloth, with two breast pockets and two hip pockets, a vent at the back hem, and two belt loops. Sleeves finished with cuff flaps (featuring A/C braiding). Collar bearing the insignia of the 21st R.T.A. Emblem of the Military Medal. Inner label bearing the name ‘GIVORD, Master Tailor’. Heavily moth-eaten at the bottom on one side. -Ml 1929 TROUSERS in light khaki cloth known as ‘mastic’ (ankle drawstrings missing). -Troops’ overcoat, 1920 model, in khaki cloth, double-breasted with two rows of six buttons. Fastening supplemented by a hook at the collar. On each front panel, a pocket fastening with a rectangular flap without buttons. One-piece back, without a vertical vent at the hem. Martingale at the back. Sleeves finished with a faux facing (with A/C braid). No shoulder straps. Lined with unbleached canvas featuring fine ‘96-M’ and ‘21st Algerian Rifle Battalion’ stamps, dated 1923. Bearing the 21st RTA collar badge. BE. - a pair of ‘mastic’-coloured CALF STRAPS (as is), - an Officer’s BELT in fawn leather. - a TIE. Date: 1930s/1940s.
