Gilt brass handle and guard, mother-of-pearl fuse plates.
Pommel with lion's head and helmeted goddess.
Guard shell decorated with the coat of arms of the Netherlands, marked with the motto "JE MAINTIENDRAI".
Straight blade with triangular section. Ornamental engravings on the first third of the blade, engraved "
FRANS PAUWELS GRAVENHAGE". Nickel-plated finish with scratches and oxidation.
Two scabbards supplied: one in black leather with double brass fittings (fairly good condition) and another in white leather with double brass fittings (fairly good condition).
