PARIS
Pair of porcelain spindle vases, decorated in sepia on an orange background with allegorical scenes illustrating the Seasons, interpreted by putti. Friezes of palmettes on a pink background on the shoulder and base. The neck is decorated with laurel garlands on a pale blue background.
Each vase has handles in the shape of winged sphinxes, painted in trompe-l'œil imitation of antique patina bronze.
Square base in sea green marble.
Empire period.
(Minor wear, chips and restorations on the marble bases).
