Description
Gilded bronze and brown patina bronze mantel set including a table clock and a pair of torches. The oblong ormolu base decorated with musical attributes features a pediment with a white enamelled dial with Roman and Arabic numerals signed "Denière à Paris", flanked by pilasters. The upper part in brown patina bronze depicts three musician lovers playing tambourines.
Each torch features a cherub standing on a rocaille mound and holding a branch-shaped arm of light.
Movement signed "Denière à Paris".
Napoleon III period.
