NEVERS Set comprising: A bowl with a curved rim, decorated in polychrome with a trophy consisting of a coat of arms adorned with a pansy, surmounted by a crown and flanked by two flags, pikes, trumpets, drums and cannonballs; the rim is decorated with a frieze of floral motifs. 18th century (crack, chip and loss of enamel). Diameter: 32 cm. A rare plate with a curved rim, featuring a revolutionary polychrome decoration: in the centre, two birds on branches holding a banner bearing the inscription ‘Confédération nationale de Paris, 14 July 1790’, surmounted by the inscription ‘W la liberté’ and flowers on the wing.18th century.
