NEVERS Set comprising: A plate with a curved rim, featuring a revolutionary polychrome decoration comprising the inscription ‘Liberté’ in a central medallion flanked by the emblems of the three estates and the Phrygian cap, and a frieze around the rim. 18th century (chips and pitting on the rim). Diameter: 22.5 cm. A similar example is held at the Rouen Ceramics Museum, inv. 2082 (illustrated in *Revolutionary Faience: Collections of the Rouen Ceramics Museum*, exhibition catalogue, p. 34, fig. 146). Plate with a scalloped rim, featuring a polychrome Revolutionary decoration of the three orders united by a heart in the centre and a garland of leafy scrolls on the rim. 18th century (minor chipping).Diameter: 23 cm.
