Stoneware biscuit cigar pot depicting a portly figure, wearing a monocle and sideburns, blowing a whistle with a clay pipe bowl as a headdress. At his feet are books marked "Plays" or "Drama". Recessed stamp "S" for shaping. Second Empire - Napoleon III. Height 20.5 cm. Minor restoration to the base of the pedestal on the reverse.
