Description
Félix AGOSTINI (1910–1980)
Pair of two-armed bronze wall lights – c. 1945
A plant-like structure stylised to resemble branches, formed by an elongated triangular element serving as a base, featuring raised sections and supporting two light arms that flare out at the ends to form lampshades
H: 47; W: 28 cm (drilled for electrical wiring)
Note: Since 2018, wall lights of this model are no longer authenticated as works by Diego Giacometti, even though they were previously described as such, including by Daniel Marchesseau. They are now attributed to the sculptor Félix Agostini.
This decision of principle was taken by the late Denis Vincenot.
