Ferdinand BERTHOUD in Paris (1727-1807)
Gold 750‰ gousset watch, decorated on the back with an enamelled miniature, depicting a woman of quality, watching for a dove carrying a crown of roses in its beak. Framed in brown/red translucent enamel on a guilloché ground with a lenticular motif, bordered by enamelled trompe-l'œil half pearls. White enamelled dial, Roman and Arabic minute numerals, mechanical cock movement, hand-wound with key. Dial and movement signed. Last third of the 18th century.
