China, late 19th–early 20th century. A set of paintings forming a beautiful wall hanging in the style of ‘Pappers of India’, comprising fourteen panels (mounted as a scroll), in ink and colours on paper, depicting pavilions filled with figures including musicians, scholars, children and deer…set amongst pine trees symbolising longevity. Some damage, significant tears and small losses; some scrolls are torn at the top. Dimensions: 149.5 x 53.5 cm.
