Minor craquelure. 26.5 x 23 cm An original iconography based on the traditional Nativity scene, but in which St Francis of Assisi can be recognised by his habit and the stigmata on his hands. Perhaps an allusion to the first nativity scene he created in 1223 in the town of Greccio in Italy.
