In an article published in Oude Holland in 1996, M. Roetlisberger suggested that these landscapes should be attributed to another Abraham Blommaert, a landscape painter from the Netherlands.
Abraham Blommaert, landscape painter from Middelburg, born around 1626 - died after 1675. The RKD states
that he was a member of the Guild of Saint Luke in Middelburg between 1657 and 1683, then in Amsterdam in 1683.
