Our painting has been confused with Schall's painting of the same subject, La Danseuse en robe bleue dite la danseuse au voile, and of the same dimensions (provenance: sale of the Groult collection, 20 November 1941, Linz museum no. 2148, at Pardo in 1952).
Only the treatment of the hat and its feathers, the design of the veil behind the hat and the green leaf in the bodice distinguish our two paintings.
