Dance Tapestry from the Royal Aubusson Manufactory Part of the "Amusements champêtres" tapestry Based on designs by Jacques Nicolas Juillard (1719 - 1790) 18th century, circa 1770 200 x 350 cm Charming subject, woven in wool and silk, with old restorations and patches, missing border. A similar tapestry belonging to the Charlieu town hall (in the Loire department) is reproduced in Pascal-François Bertrand, Aubusson, Tapisseries des lumières, splendeurs de la Manufacture royale, fournisseur de l'Europe au XVIIIe siècle, 2013, fig. 253, p. 187.
