Luigi Frullini was a professor at the Academy of Fine Arts in Florence. He received numerous commissions following the presentation of his work at the World’s Fairs of 1862, 1867, 1873 and 1878, notably a complete set of furniture commissioned by Baron de Rothschild in 1873.
He was awarded the gold medal in 1878 at the Paris World’s Fair for his Renaissance-style wooden furniture.
