Attributed to SAMSON (Paris). Porcelain pot-pourri jar with a so-called Kakiemon decoration featuring flower-covered fences and exotic birds on the lid, birds in flight and a rock with a hole in it on the body. Bronze mounts, formerly gilded; seed-shaped lid handle. Apocryphal mark depicting a hunting horn; small, worn mark, probably that of Samson. Circa 1900. 30 × 24.5 cm.
