An hourglass-shaped drum featuring a large openwork handle decorated with geometric bird-beak motifs. It has retained its original reptile skin as well as its woven fibre decorations. Wood with an antique brown patina. Asmat, Irian Jaya. Length: 63 cm. Provenance: former collection of the painter François Bouillon.
