Description
Josaphat TORTAT (1843–1915) & Arthur JUST (1850–1928). A large decorative dish in polychrome glazed ceramic with a fluted rim and a centre panel painted with a view of the Château de Chenonceau, from the series depicting the châteaux of the Loire Valley. Handwritten signature, painted and glazed within the decoration and on the reverse, Blois, circa 1880. Diameter: 46 cm. (Small chip around the rim on the reverse; restoration of a hair-line crack) Upon specific request, the lot may be transported free of charge to our warehouse in Buc, or to our Paris premises (for smaller lots).
