Description
A small, flat desk in rosewood and palisander veneer, resting on four curved legs ending in clogs and topped with gilded bronze ram’s heads. It features three drawers set around the base with geometric decoration, a recessed front, a leather-upholstered top, and rich gilded and chiselled bronze fittings. The design is inspired by the work of Jean-François OEBEN (1721–1763). Louis XV–Louis XVI transitional style, dating from the second half of the 19th century. 76 x 118.5 x 64.5 cm. Minor wear to the gilding and some scuffing to the leather.
