A richly decorated polychrome marble and hardstone top set against a black background of flowering branches and crisp leaves in friezes interlaced with foliage; the surround punctuated with shells and farmhouse wreath corners. Length: 300 - Width: 120 cm Based on a model made in the Grand Ducal workshops in 1716 from a drawing by Giovanni Battista Foggini and now in the Palatina Gallery in Florence (illustrated in Annamaria Giusti, Pietre Dure and the Art of Florentine Inlay, p.104-105.
