MILLER David (1942–2008) Large ceramic coffee pot with white engobe and polychrome painted decoration. H. 30 x 21 cm. British artist based in the south of France since the 1980s. He worked with low-temperature salt-fired stoneware, producing highly colourful, smoke-glazed pieces in the Raku style, and created his own style of utilitarian objects that were reimagined beyond their usual functions, whilst evoking the spirit of Mediterranean glazed pottery.
