Amrita SHER-GIL (1913–1941), ‘Still Life with Jug and Fruit’, 1932, oil on panel, signed with a monogram and dated in the lower right-hand corner, 59.9 x 75.8 cm. * Provenance: - Odette Duval-Dovillers (1912–1991), a student and friend of Amrita Sher-Gil at the École des Beaux-Arts in Paris, where she attended Lucien Simon’s studio (1930–1934); -1991: bequeathed by Odette Duval-Dovillers to Mr and Mrs P., close friends of Odette Duval-Dovillers, who were appointed universal legatees in the absence of any descendants; -Private collection in Paris (following the sale of *Still Life with a Jug and Fruit* to a French collector). * The work is accompanied by a report from the Art Analysis Laboratory dated 14 April 2026.
