Description
China, Qing dynasty (1644-1911) or earlier Large Neolithic-style jade axe (modelled on the ceremonial blades of the Longshan culture), slightly trapezoidal in shape, reminiscent of a mistletoe tablet but slightly domed in the centre, pierced (on one side) at one end and incised with three fine bands in slight relief, the stone green, brown and white, calcified in places.
