A blue-white porcelain planter containing a Taihu-type scholar's rock carved in amethyst, a second smaller scholar's rock in lapis lazuli, and a small seated Buddha statuette in pale celadon jade, on a dark wood background covering the porcelain decorated on the outside with lotus scrolls, between two friezes on the rim and foot (spirals and leiwen).
