Belt buckle in two parts, each made from an oval plate of pale green jadeite mounted in bronze or brass incised with stylised motifs, with two loops on the back, one of the two with a hook in the shape of a dragon's head.

Provenance:
Acquired by French engineer and diplomat Henri Maux (1901-1950) during his mission to China between 1945 and 1949 (between Shanghai, Nanjing and Hong Kong), and remained in his family ever since.
