Description
SÈVRES Manufacture Nationale. Vase "à double culot" in blue and gold porcelain imitating lapis lazuli, the handles with lions heads. Manufacture mark: "S. 69" in green, decoration mark: "RF Doré à Sèvres 75" in red. Engraved: "69" and "C.M" for Charles-François Maldémé (1829-1888) turner, active from 1852 to 1887. 19th century H. 41cm - L. 21 cm AJ Small chip on the handle and neck. The shape of this vase, without the handles, was designed in 1853 by H.J. Regnier and then redesigned with the handles in 1857. Two vases of this model with a celadon base are in the Musée National du Château de Fontainebleau. Inv.F23398. Bibliography : B.
