A set of six cabriolet armchairs in moulded wood with a curved, horseshoe-shaped backrest, console-style armrests and tapered legs with serrated fluting. Upholstered in a polychrome floral tapestry.

Etienne, Antoine and Jean-Baptiste Meunier, master chairmakers on Rue de Cléry, were the three active cabinetmakers of this family during the reigns of Louis XV and Louis XVI.
Our armchairs bear the E.MEUNIER mark, originally used by Etienne Meunier, then by his son Antoine, who took it over in 1755 along with his father’s workshop.
