Description
Silver chalice hallmark Minerve 1st title, M.O. DEMARQUET FRERES (1868-1890). It rests on a poly-lobed base decorated with two rows of pearls and oves, rosettes decorated with grenetis on an amati background. A butterfly cross with its silver and 750°°°° gold runner set with table-cut and rose-cut diamonds was attached to the base at a later date (an accident). The rosette decoration is repeated for the support of the bowl screwed onto the shaft. A brass plate is attached to the base. Gross weight: 477 g. H: 26 cm.
