A silver and vermeil ciborium, hallmarked Minerve 1st grade 950°°°, M.O. Frères FAVIER, Lyon work circa 1860. On a round cambered foot, the baluster-shaped shaft supports a covered cup. The decoration consists of cartouches representing reeds, sheaves of wheat, scenes of the Virgin Mary with child or at prayer, Christ, Saint Joseph, vine branches, pearls and oves in repoussé.
