An important 'borne' HANGER in patinated bronze, gilt bronze and brass. It is crowned with a seated Apollo holding The Georgics and Virgil's Aeneid; the rest of the decoration consists of acanthus leaves in doucine, wreaths of flowers and trumpets; the feet are in the form of scrolls. Brass dial with painted Roman numerals (wear). Wire suspension; back plate signed "LESIEUR" and numbered "616"; openwork five-pointed star-shaped count wheel. With stamp, balance wheel and key.
