Joseph Porphyre PINCHON (1871-1953) "Scenes of a venery Large pastel, signed lower right, framed. 113 x 154 cm Pinchon is best known for creating the character of Bécassine, one of the first successful comic strips. He was a fanatical hunter and donated works to the Musée de la Chasse in Senlis. Exhibition:- Salon National des Beaux-Arts, Paris, 1905, no. 1586.
