A Copernican-style heliocentric planetary model.
The rotating base of the planetarium is topped by a circular table, around the edge of which runs a strip of paper printed with a zodiac scale and a calendar scale (featuring the names of the months in French and numbering 10, 20, 30?). The globe is surrounded by two rings; the figure of the moon rotates on a parallel arm.
The globe is signed on a cartouche: ‘GLOBE TERRESTRE à PARIS Delamarche (?) Géog rue du Jardinet No. 13’ (partially legible).
Dated 19th century.
