André UTTER (1886–1948) Calvary at Corté (Corsica), c. 1913 Oil on original canvas, signed lower right. 160 x 111 cm (Accidents and Uprisings) It was in late summer and early autumn 1913 that the trio of Valadon, Utrillo and Utter travelled to Corsica and spent several months in Corté and Belgodère. Utter painted landscapes, including *The Bridge in the Countryside* and the *Portrait of Valadon Combing Her Hair*, now in the Petit Palais Museum in Geneva, as well as his *Self-Portrait* in the Sannois Museum.
