A pair of lidded baluster-shaped vases in white marble veined with grey and black, with rich chiselled and gilded bronze mountings featuring a rocaille design of shells, scrolls, foliage, flowers and fruit.
The lids are topped with leaf-shaped handles. The vases rest on bronze pedestals decorated with acanthus leaves and on quadrangular marble bases with bevelled sides.
Louis XV style, late 19th century.

Wear to the gilding, oxidation and verdigris, minor chipping to the marble.
