Hunting dagger. Chiselled, gilded bronze mountings. The hilt features a bust of Atlas supporting a wild boar’s head; the lower half-guards are decorated on the front with dogs attacking a wild boar, and on the reverse with hunting motifs. Damascus blade, double-edged, with two hollows and a central ridge, engraved and gilded within cartouches depicting a hunter skilled at hunting hares and deer pursued by dogs. Leather-covered scabbard, with two brass fittings, chiselled and gilded. Pommel with a long hook, decorated with a lion’s muzzle. Pommel cap with palmette motifs.
