Description
Large console table rectangular in shape, made of mahogany and mahogany veneer, with legs in the form of caryatids with crossed arms, a central pilaster ending in grey feet, a crossbar surmounted by a flamed vase and winged sphinxes leaning against it, and a green marble top (repaired) Louis XV style, late 19th to early 20th century. Design inspired by a commission from Princess Caroline Murat to the cabinetmaker Jacob-Desmalter to furnish the apartments at the Élysée Palace. H. 81 cm, 131 x 70.5 cm.
